Happy Pride Month! This week, we are joined by special guest Leyton Cassidy (Gay Future, Classics, Bitch) to learn about the history of Pride in America. Sarah also discusses the history of dating apps, including some more queer history! We want to acknowledge all of our listeners celebrating the 50th anniversary of Pride this month and say thank you for listening!

On June 28, 1969, days of riots began at the Stonewall Inn when police raided the gay bar in the early morning hours. These riots marked the beginning of what began NYC Pride, celebrating its 50th anniversary since the Stonewall riots this year.



The History of Dating Apps has been long in the making. Before there were computers, there were newspapers - and boy, did people get up to some stuff! However, views on dating apps are not as favorable as one might think!


As long as methods of communication exists, people will seek each other out for personal and romantic connection. (That's for sure!) Still, it's hard not to feel hopeless in this current online dating moment. Just remember: swiping does make you more superficial.
